Methodist Health System has named E. Kenneth Hutchenrider, FACHE, president of Methodist Richardson Medical Center. Hutchenrider, who currently serves as chief executive officer of Galesburg Cottage Hospital, Galesburg, Illinois, will join the Methodist team on July 12, 2010.
“Mr. Hutchenrider is an outstanding leader with a proven track record in operational excellence," said Pamela Stoyanoff, executive vice president and COO of Methodist Health System. “His background and experience will be a perfect complement to the Methodist Richardson culture and our mission to improve and save lives in our communities with the highest level of quality, care, and compassion."
Hutchenrider has over 20 years of executive experience. During his tenure at the 173-bed Community Health Systems’ Galesburg Cottage Hospital, he substantially increased financial stability and strengthened the management team and medical staff. Prior to serving at Galesburg, Mr. Hutchenrider was chief executive officer for Terre Haute Regional Hospital in Terre Haute, Indiana. He holds a BA from Texas A&M University, and a Masters in Healthcare Administration from the University of Houston Clear Lake.
Hutchenrider and his wife and two children will be relocating to the Richardson area.
“I’m looking forward to serving the community and working with the dedicated staff, physicians, and volunteers at Methodist Richardson," said Hutchenrider. “It’s an honor to have been given the opportunity to lead this exceptional team, and I am committed to continuing the tradition of providing the best care possible to people living in Richardson and surrounding communities."
Methodist Richardson, a non-profit hospital that joined Methodist Health System in June 2009, has two locations serving the area – the Campbell and Bush/Renner campuses – and approximately 900 employees. For more information, visit www.methodistrichardson.org.
