Kick-Off Party
A crowd of 100 supporters attended Methodist Richardson Medical Center's kick-off party for the 2009 Yellow and Black Tie Gala. Crest Auto Group hosted the celebration at its Crest Infiniti Showroom in Plano. Guests enjoyed a cooking demonstration and tasting presented by Chef Richard Chamberlain, owner of Chamberlain's Steak and Chophouse and Fish Market in Addison. Gala Chair Lee Nagel of Plano thanked the crowd for supporting this year's gala, benefitting Methodist Richardson Cancer Center.
"The gala will be themed 'A Night in the Mediterranean' and promises to be a fun and memorable evening," said Nagel. "As a cancer survivor, I'm passionate about making a difference in our community and helping others facing cancer. We've all been touched by cancer in some way, and that's why it's so important we all work together to raise funds and awareness."
At the kick-off celebration, Crest Auto Group presented the Foundation with a $10,000 gala sponsorship.
"We're honored to support the cancer center and be a part of this community effort," said Mike Brosin, general manager of Crest Auto Group.
